Psalm 55:13-14 “But it is you, a man like myself, my companion, my close friend, with whom I once enjoyed sweet fellowship at the house of God, as we walked about among the worshipers.”
Because of this pandemic virus it has caused all church activities to cease. It has caused isolation and a sense of despair for some during this season of change. Don’t let fear rule your lives. This too shall pass. Psalm 55:22 Cast your burdens on the Lord and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
So what can we do as a church to lift our brethren up?
When Paul was a prisoner in Rome he was isolated from those he cared about. But, he put his concerns, encouragement, and the love of Christ in his letters to the church. It may seem old school to write a letter to one of our brethren, but taking the time to share the love of Christ in a letter can be huge to someone who needs lifting up.
If you have a church directory why not write someone you don’t know and let them know you care and are praying for them!
It is all about fellowship.
We don’t need to focus on what we can’t do, but what we can do for others that we might bring glory to God. Maybe just pick up the phone and call someone you haven’t talked to in forever. Just let them know you were thinking of them and brighten their day.
It’s the little things that mean the most.
Let nothing not even the coronavirus stop us from sharing the love of God. Romans 8:38-39 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Lastly, the church is not a physical building or place.
We are the church. So, let us remain in the body. We all have God-given gifts that we can use to remain one body in Christ.
God bless you and stay healthy.
