The Summer Patriot

These are truly the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will in this crisis shrink from the service of their country…”

Truer words have never been spoken and are relevant even today as we go through this trial.

Those who thrive on the mountain top, those sunshine patriots will shrink when adversity comes their way. But those that are well grounded in their faith will weather this storm. Jeremiah 17:7-8

We all look forward to when we can meet again and enjoy the fellowship that has meant so much to us. But let’s take comfort in knowing that fellowship is always possible, even in this season of drought. 2 Corinthians 13:14

Don’t lose hope. Hope comes from within!

Don’t put your hope in the things of this world. Let His word be what sustains you through all of this. Open your Bible and be filled with His word. 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

Take care and be safe, don’t let Satan win this fight.

Let’s not be summer soldiers, but rather Christian Soldiers ready to fight the good fight, till we meet again.
